As a resident of Washington D.C., I can confirm that we do have the right to vote in Presidential and Congressional elections. However, our representation in Congress is limited. We elect a non-voting delegate to the House of Representatives, but we have no representation in the Senate. This restriction has led to the popular slogan "Taxation without representation," as we pay federal taxes but don't have a full political voice in how they're used. Despite these limitations, we still exercise our right to vote with pride and duty.
